Kurt Morgan BA MEng, Electronic Systems Engineer, QinetiQ
I've been working for QinetiQ since finishing my masters degree in electronic engingeering at Cambridge Universty. As a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, IET, I'm working toward chartership. Since 2005 I've been part of the Real Time Embedded Systems (RTES) group at QinetiQ in Malvern. My main work is the design of digital logic with embedded processors on Xilinx FPGAs, using VHDL. I'm interested in all aspects of high performance computing, with a particular focus on tools for configureable logic devices. I can be contacted at work by email and would be glad to help with any FPGA related inquiries.
The Royal Academy of Engineerings BEST scheme had a lot to do with my choice of career and I thoroughly recommend all of the activities. Having done the Engineering Education Scheme (EES) when I was a sixth-former at DHSB back in 1999. I'm now helping out at a school in Malvern which I'm really enjoying.
My blog has a section on Engineering in Education, a light-hearted discussion of engineering related educational activities.
